“Honest loans from honest people”
Purchasing a home, and selecting a mortgage professional to maneuver through the biggest financial decision is paramount. In 2002 I began giving some thought to making a bold career change. I had been employed with the State of California for over 16 years, so making a career change, as a stable civil servant seemed crazy at best! The decision was only made after spending a few years watching, learning and eventually being groomed whether I knew or not by a veteran mortgage professional, Ralph Palumbo.
So there the second career began…. I became a licensed real estate professional making my way as a mortgage broker, originating loans with a small broker specializing in first-time home buyer programs, and refinances. After years of developing a good name in the mortgage industry, I can proudly say I survived the good times and the tough ones.
There are so many rewarding aspects of being someone’s mortgage adviser. But something that stood out was working with first time home buyers. Another rewarding area was working with seniors with reverse mortgages. Over 30 years later I maintained relationships with co-workers while I was employed as a state employee. These friends became great clients. I realized and learned more than ever, the power of a “referral”. If you would had told me 14 years ago I would make it full circle I would have never believed it.
Today, I am one part of a two-person team. Yes, my mentor Ralph Palumbo! Together(how shall I say it) dynamic, experience, honest, but more than anything “the home of great service”. Together we will challenge any business of what constitutes “exceptional customer service”. I leave you with a Quote by Walt Disney“Do what you do so well that they want to see it again and bring their friends”.
